CALM Training
CALM Training is a set of procedures developed by The New England Center for Children to be used with children 5 years of age and older to avoid the escalation of challenging behavior, de-escalate potentially dangerous behavior if avoidance procedures are not effective, and manage crisis situations in the safest way possible. CALM prioritizes the safety of students and staff.
Where is CALM Training offered?
CALM Training is held on-site at NECC’s campus in Southborough and can also be conducted at your school.
CALM is not intended to be used as a behavior intervention program or to reduce challenging behaviors.
