NECC and Simmons Offer New Two-Year Master’s Degree Program

The New England Center for Children and Simmons University have collaborated to offer a new master’s degree in education beginning this September. The new degree – which will be free to all NECC staff— is a two-year, non-licensure special education degree.

Dykes, Rae Win 2022 Myrna Libby Award

NECC has announced that Samantha Dykes and Lauren Rae were named the 2022 winners of the Myrna E. Libby Scholar Award, which honors one student enrolled in each of the onsite graduate programs whose work exemplify Myrna Libby’s vision that research guides the education and treatment of individuals with autism.

NECC and Simmons University Celebrate 30 Years of Partnership

A cornerstone of NECC’s mission is training the next generation of autism educators. On July 13, staff members from The New England Center for Children (NECC) enrolled in the Simmons University Applied Autism Research graduate program, along with their professors, presented their research proposals during a poster session at NECC’s campus in Southborough.

NECC Staff Receive Master’s Degrees from Simmons University

On May 20, 38 NECC staff received their Master of Science in Education with an autism specialization designation degree from Simmons University during their 2022 Commencement. During the ceremony, several NECC/Simmons graduates were also recognized with special awards for their exceptional work in the graduate program.
