Earlier this month, the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough, MA once again made NECC students’ spirits bright with its generous donation of a shopping trip to Macy’s. One of NECC’s residential students, Hector, joined NECC staff as they selected winter essentials and warm-weather clothing at Macy’s, which will be given to students in need of cozy clothing.
This isn’t the first time Solomon Pond Mall has supported NECC’s mission. Last holiday season, the Mall donated a shopping spree for our students to Old Navy, and this year, they went even further. In addition to the shopping trip, the Mall hosted a fun-filled evening for NECC staff and their children at Hey Kiddo’s Playtime, a new indoor play area in the mall.
“We are proud to include The New England Center for Children as a centerpiece of our community outreach program,” shared Mark Willand, marketing director for the Solomon Pond Mall. “We know the donated clothing will find their way to deserving students this winter. Partnering with NECC in such efforts is an honor, and we look forward to enhancing this relationship in the years ahead.”
