RUN FOR TEAM NECC

Are you interested in combining your love for running and supporting NECC? If so, run for Team NECC!  Throughout the year, we encourage runners to participate in running events, such as 5Ks and marathons, to support autism education and research. NECC applies to receive charity bibs from two top running events in the Boston area each year. We then offer the bibs to individuals who are dedicated to running and fundraising on behalf of NECC.

To learn more about eligibility and registration, contact Kim Ruscitti.

Boston Marathon

Boston Marathon logoSince 2007, NECC has been fortunate to participate in the historic Boston Marathon. In the last 15 years, Team NECC runners have raised nearly $1 million through the Boston Athletic Association’s (B.A.A.) non-profit program, now under the sponsorship of Bank of America. Last year, our 128th Boston Marathon runners raised more than $118,000 for NECC!

Those who would like to run for Team NECC are required to raise a minimum of $10,000 and must pay the $375 B.A.A. entry fee.

Our goal is to provide a memorable and supportive experience for all Team NECC runners. NECC provides the following for all accepted runners:

  • Charity bib fee
  • Professional coaching through the Marathon Coalition
  • Personal fundraising webpage (through GivenGain)
  • Comprehensive fundraising support
  • Team NECC singlet
  • Runner gift/swag

We are currently in the process of applying for the Bank of America Boston Marathon Charity Program to have the opportunity to bring runners to the 129th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on April 21, 2025. Please check back in the fall for more information.
