NECC’s Center in Abu Dhabi Honored with Prestigious Nafis Award
On May 14, The Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Special Education operated by The New England Center for Children (MRC-NECC) was among those honored with a Nafis Award at the presidential palace of UAE.
Dr. Sassi Appointed to Massachusetts Commission on Autism
The New England Center for Children President and CEO Jessica Sassi, PhD, BCBA-D, LABA, was recently appointed and sworn in as a member of the Massachusetts Commission on Autism.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Cassie Clinton
NECC teacher Cassie Clinton was nominated because “the care she has for the students on School Street is unmatched. She consistently goes above and beyond what is expected. She is also always a great resource on shift and does a great job helping new staff.”
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Christina Rayball
Christina Rayball has worked in The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Partner Program since 2021 and currently serves as an interim lead teacher for a partner classroom in Groton, MA. She was nominated because she “has helped the students make incredible gains in her time in Groton.”
NECC 5K Team Honors Late Colleague Amy Posocco
Each year, the NECC 5K Walk/Run for Autism brings together hundreds of staff, students, families, and community members for a day of support for autism education. On May 11, more than 65 people will honor their late colleague, Amy Posocco, by participating as the Miles for Mimi NECC 5K team.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Miranda Cox
Miranda Cox, a residential coordinator, has worked at NECC for five years. Cox, who began her journey at NECC as a case manager for the Higley Road team, was nominated by a colleague because “She is friendly, knowledgeable, and always on top of everything.”
