Teacher Feature: Alex Heggie
Though Alex Heggie has only worked at The New England Center for Children (NECC) in Southborough for two years, his connections with the organization date back more than a decade – and another continent.

David Booker, a level 2 teacher on IIP Cohort G, joined NECC nine years ago. He was nominated by a colleague because “his positive attitude and upbeat demeanor are infectious and the enjoyment he displays when interacting with his peers and the students is a breath of fresh air.”
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Emily Marin
Emily Marin is an education coordinator for NECC’s Francine Road residence. Marin “is a strong education coordinator and stronger supervisor. She is a great role model for all employees and is very caring towards her students. She excels at making new staff and helpers feel comfortable on shift.”
Children of Promise Gala to Showcase Global Impact
On Friday, November 11, The New England Center for Children (NECC) will host its annual Children of Promise Gala. Hundreds of business leaders, philanthropists, friends, and families will gather at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston to raise funds for autism education and research.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: June Kivi, MSEd, BCBA, LABA
June Kivi has been with NECC for nearly 30 years, serving in a number of roles, including 15 years in the Consulting and Public School Services Department, where she has worked for over 15 years helping to ensure students with autism reach their full potential.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Clare Mack
Clare Mack, assistant director of human resources, has worked in The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Human Resources Department for nine years and in a variety of roles. She was nominated by colleagues because her friendly demeanor and positive attitude are an asset to her department.
