Meet Children of Promise Gala Presenting Sponsor New England Dental Group
New England Dental Group (NEDG) has been a valued community partner of The New England Center for Children (NECC) since 2017. This year, NEDG is the presenting sponsor of the 2022 Children of Promise Gala, the biggest fundraiser of the year for NECC.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Taylor Collins, MS, BCBA
Taylor Collins, a program specialist for The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Intensive Treatment Team (ITT) Apartment 1, has worked at NECC for more than seven years. A colleague nominated Collins because “she is more than deserving of the mention.”
Acts of Generosity: The Carlin-Handin Family
Elliot Handin is a fighter. Diagnosed with leukemia at just three months old, Elliot beat the odds, defied his doctors’ grim diagnoses, and is now a thriving 17-year-old student in NECC’s residential program.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Courtney Sickel
Courtney Sickel, a level 2 teacher for The New England Center for Children’s Westborough 2 residence, was nominated because she’s “reliable, kind, and a great advocate for all the girls on West 2. She is a kind leader, strong advocate, and great teacher who we are so lucky to have.”
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Erin Carmody
Erin Carmody has served as director of NECC’s day care center for 14 years. She was nominated for going “above and beyond for the day care children and her staff. She allows parents to come to work knowing their children are in great care throughout the day.”

Though Alex Heggie has only worked at The New England Center for Children (NECC) in Southborough for two years, his connections with the organization date back more than a decade – and another continent.
