STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Emily Stevens
Emily Stevens has worked as a level 2 teacher for The New England Center for Children (NECC) for nearly four years, and currently works in the Intensive Instruction Program (IIP). She was nominated by a colleague because she “is a positive, energetic, and reliable team member."
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Jennifer Correa
Jennifer Correa, a level 2 teacher and backup core shift manager for NECC’s Westborough II residence, has worked at NECC for three years. She was nominated by a colleague for being “such an important member of the team.”
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Marion Karsina, MEd, BSN, RN
Marion Karsina, MEd, BSN, RN, joined NECC as a teacher in 1990. Karsina left in 2011 but returned to NECC in 2021 as a primary care nurse. Karsina was nominated by a colleague because she “always brings her best self to work and gives 110% to her students and coworkers.”
NECC Launches Employee Resource Groups to Enhance Staff Experience
As part of its commitment to creating an experience of belonging for all staff, the New England Center for Children (NECC) has established several Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to provide a dedicated safe space of support, community, and learning for employees.
Massachusetts Father to Walk Across America to Benefit Children with Autism
On January 31, 2023, Mike McKenna embarked on a four-month walk across the United States to increase awareness of autism and raise funds for The New England Center for Children® (NECC®), a leader in autism education and research, where his son Michael has been a student for 17 years.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Chris Lovell
Chris Lovell joined the Food Services team at NECC in September 2017. She was nominated by colleagues because she “takes her time to get to know students, staff, her colleagues, and pretty much anyone she meets. She is always very helpful and always has a great, positive attitude.”
