STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Lauren Rae
Lauren Rae, a day coordinator for The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Intensive Treatment Team (ITT), has worked for NECC for six years. She was nominated by a colleague because she is “an extremely effective and compassionate supervisor."
NECC Students Attend World’s Fair
NECC students recently had the opportunity to travel the world without leaving Southborough on August 15 when the Education Department hosted a World’s Fair featuring projects and maps showing where students and staff members have joined NECC from.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Linda Lawton
Linda Lawton joined NECC four years ago to begin her career in education. Although Lawton will be leaving NECC, she will be moving onward and upward in her career thanks to her time at NECC. She was nominated because she “is an exemplary teacher, who cares deeply about her students.”
STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Gloria Maha
Gloria Maha, a level 2 teacher and case manager for NECC's Oak Street residential team, has worked at NECC for three years. She was nominated by a colleague because she is “compassionate and hardworking” and “if you need something she is always there to support you,”
Two NECC Researchers Present at Annual Women in Behavior Analysis Conference
NECC researchers, Drs. Becky MacDonald and Chata Dickson, were prominently featured at the 2023 Women in Behavior Analysis (WIBA) Conference, held in Nashville, TN, on July 20-21. According to WIBA, the conference is an opportunity to “come together to celebrate and empower the remarkable accomplishments of women in the field or behavior analysis.”
NECC Students Dance to the Beat of Their Own (Ipu) Drums
“It’s been very satisfying to get to provide this instrument in music class at NECC, as this is an instrument that is not commonly seen outside of hula troupes in and around Hawaii,” NECC Music Teacher Nadia Castagna shared.
