Erin Trybulski is a human resources (HR) specialist for The New England Center for Children (NECC). Trybulski, who joined NECC a year and a half ago, has had an immediate impact on her team. “She is the first person to greet staff as they walk into the HR office and is always friendly and eager to help staff,” said a colleague who nominated her. “She has a can-do attitude and has created a fun and engaging benefit orientation for new hires. We appreciate all she does for NECC and the HR office.”
As a human resources specialist, what are your responsibilities?
My responsibilities include overseeing the offers and contracts process, tracking certifications and licenses, getting the new hires onboarded and presenting benefits orientation, enrolling employees in NECC benefits, and answering general benefits questions.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part is getting to meet and interact so many different people every day!
Why did you choose a career at NECC?
I chose NECC for a few reasons. I love the idea of working for an organization devoted to improving the lives of children. Also, in my past career, I focused primarily on recruiting and training; I chose to come to NECC to expand my HR skills.
What is something about you that your colleagues might be surprised to learn?
Sadly, I have no hidden talents. My hobbies include reading and listening to true crime podcasts. Feel free to suggest some!
Who is someone you look up to?
I have always looked up to my father. He was one of the hardest working people I have ever known. He worked two (sometimes three jobs) to provide for our family and ensure my siblings and I had the best education. He never seemed to be in a bad mood. He had such a positive outlook on life, and he was a great storyteller!
What is your life philosophy or a motto you like to live by?
In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
