Paula DeSimone has served as NECC’s front desk receptionist for ten years. She was nominated because she “is always friendly and welcoming, no matter what is going on, and is always willing to help. Paula brings warmth and friendliness to everyone who comes through the doors of NECC.”
Sarah Phelan, education coordinator for NECC’s School Street, joined NECC in 2015. She was nominated by a colleague because she “goes above and beyond to help staff and students excel! She’s always there to answer any questions and is the first one to jump in and help!”
NECC has announced that Samantha Dykes and Lauren Rae were named the 2022 winners of the Myrna E. Libby Scholar Award, which honors one student enrolled in each of the onsite graduate programs whose work exemplify Myrna Libby’s vision that research guides the education and treatment of individuals with autism.
This week, representatives from Apex Entertainment presented The New England Center for Children (NECC) with a $6,500 check. These crucial funds will help provide NECC students with the services they need to live full and productive lives.
A cornerstone of NECC’s mission is training the next generation of autism educators. One of the ways that NECC achieves this goal is through offering free on-site graduate programs through its partnerships with nationally accredited universities. Kaitlyn Shea, MEd, SHRM-CP, has worked at The New England Center for Children (NECC) for 15 years in a variety of positions, including as a teacher in Southborough, an ABA therapist at NECC’s sister school in Abu Dhabi, and currently as the lead recruiting specialist for NECC Southborough.
