Every August, more than 10,000 runners line up at the start of the Falmouth Road Race in Woods Hole on Cape Cod. For nearly two decades, 15 of those runners have been members of Team NECC – individuals running on behalf of the students with autism at NECC.

Becca Reardon, a level 2 teacher and back-up core shift manager (CSM) for The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Westborough 2 residence, has worked for NECC for three years. She was nominated by colleagues because she is “a strong teacher and leader on West 2."

Creating psychological safety by providing a space for people to express concerns, questions, and ideas is the first step in building a more inclusive and supportive work environment," shared Kaya Chokshi-Fox, co-lead of NECC's Pride Alliance ERG.
Heather Fortin joined NECC as a teacher 30 years ago and currently serves as a professor and practicum coordinator for the Simmons graduate program at NECC. She was nominated by a colleague because “she cares so much about her Simmons practicum students and advocates tirelessly for them.”
