Worcester Red Sox to Recognize NECC During Autism Acceptance Day Game on April 30

Prior to their game on Saturday, April 30, the Worcester Red Sox will honor NECC on the field as part of its Autism Acceptance Day event. NECC will be recognized as a “Heart of Worcester” for its work helping children with autism lead fuller lives.

Elin Thorvaldsdottir is a program specialist for NECC’s Westboro I residence, who moved to the U.S. from Iceland to work for NECC and take advantage of the on-site graduate programs. A colleague nominated Thorvaldsdottir because she is a “calm, supportive, brilliant, and kind colleague and supervisor.”

NECC’s 16th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Autism to be Held May 21 with Free Registration for Participants

The New England Center for Children will host its 16th Annual 5k Walk/Run for Autism on Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. at the Margaret A. Neary School in Southborough. This year, NECC is offering free registration for all participants.
