Heather Fortin joined NECC as a teacher 30 years ago and currently serves as a professor and practicum coordinator for the Simmons graduate program at NECC. She was nominated by a colleague because “she cares so much about her Simmons practicum students and advocates tirelessly for them.”

Bridget Higgins and Alexander Heggie have been named the 2023 winners of the Myrna E. Libby Scholar Award. The award, established in 2009, honors one NECC staff enrolled in each of the onsite graduate programs through Simmons and Western New England universities.

25th Annual Dunkin’ Golf Classic Drives in $100,000 for NECC

On June 5, more than 100 golfers gathered to celebrate the 25th annual Carlos Placido Dunkin' Golf Classic for Autism at the Franklin Country Club in Franklin, MA. The event raised more than $100,000 for The New England Center for Children (NECC), a research and education institution in Southborough, MA.
