Although Paul Ankrah, a rehabilitation counselor for The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Westborough 1 residence, is fairly new to NECC, he has had an immediate impact on his students and colleagues.
Jackie Mombourquette, a tutor in NECC’s Partner Program, has worked at NECC for almost two years. She was nominated by a colleague because she “is always the first person in and the last one out and is always coming up with creative and fun lessons for our students.”
This fall, Sarah Brylle, MS, BCBA, LABA, a senior lead teacher in NECC’s Partner Program, was named the winner of the 2023 Maria Felix Lonergan Memorial Award in recognition of her commitment to NECC and her students.
As a vocational specialist, Julie LeBlanc, MS, BCBA, LABA is responsible for developing and overseeing job opportunities within NECC and in the local community, as well as working with students and their teams to determine the best vocational work for them.
Two NECC staff, Bill Ahearn, PhD, BCBA-D, LABA and Chata Dickson, PhD, BCBA-D, LABA, were invited to speak at the 43rd annual Florida Association of Behavioral Analysis (FABA) Conference.
Maggie May has worked as a level 2 teacher and core shift manager (CSM) at The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Oak Street residence for two and half years. She was nominated by colleagues “because of her dedication to the team, for always advocating for all the students' welfare."
In October, The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Green Committee was honored at the Annual BABAT Conference in Worcester, receiving the 2023 "Behavior Change for a Sustainable World" award. This recognition reflects NECC’s dedication to using behavior analysis principles to encourage sustainable practices across the organization.
This spring, The New England Center for Children (NECC) will have ten runners representing six states participate in the 128th Bank of America Boston Marathon®, which will take place on April 15, 2024.
Lisa Reebel has worked at The New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Michael F. Downey Center for Child Development for eight years. She was nominated by colleagues because “she is a wonderful and dedicated toddler teacher" and a "great fitness instructor."
Sean Hemminger, who works on NECC's Salem End Road team, has worked at NECC for a year and a half. She was nominated by a colleague because she “keeps our days running smoothly and always has her students’ best interests at heart."
