Congressman James McGovern Visits NECC
On March 2, 2004, we were pleased to welcome U.S. Representative James McGovern, to NECC. Currently in his fourth term in Congress, U.S. Rep. McGovern has been serving the 3rd Congressional District in Washington since January of 1997. Congressman McGovern is also a member of the National Coalition for Autism Research and Education.

2003 MCAS-Alternate Assessment Results
In May 2003, NECC completed and submitted MCAS-Alternate Assessment portfolios for 70 students from Massachusetts. Once again, NECC Alternate Assessment performance levels exceeded statewide averages.

Dr. Brian Iwata to serve as NECC Senior Research Scientist
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Brian Iwata agreed to serve as NECC Senior Research Scientist for the coming two years. Dr. Iwata is a premier researcher in ABA, particularly in the areas of functional analysis and best clinical treatment practices.
