Parents from all NECC programs participate in Parents' Organization monthly meetings during which informational programs are combined with regular business. Parents advise NECC and provide feedback about policies and procedures. Parents' Organization participants greet new families at its New Family Welcome Buffet, and socialize at events like Annual Family Day and the end-of-year holiday dinner.

Participants contribute to the supportive work environment at NECC by sponsoring staff appreciation events. Welcome and holiday gift baskets are distributed during the year accompanied by thank you notes, special snacks are provided for team meetings, and parent volunteers serve a catered dinner to all staff during our annual staff appreciation week. The Parents' Organization also provides awards for staff research projects.

The Parents' Organization makes a tremendous contribution to the school through its sponsorship of the Night of Music, a fundraising event that last year raised over $100,000 for the NECC Annual Fund. Almost four hundred people turned out for the benefit. Live music, dancing, and a silent auction highlighted the evening at historic Mechanics Hall.
