Master Of Science In Applied Behavior Analysis, Northeastern University

Admission Guidelines
The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:

  • GPA. Overall GPA of 3.5 or higher is preferred.
  • GRE scores. The GRE or MAT is required of all applicants. (The MABA program prefers the GRE rather than MAT.) The MABA Program at NECC prefers a combined Verbal and Quantitative score of 1100.
  • Letters of recommendation. Three letters are required -- one academic, one clinical or professional, and one either academic or clinical/professional. Personal recommendations are not acceptable.
  • Personal statement. Preference is given to applicants who clearly state career goals, how the MABA program relates to these goals, and how they feel a behavior analytic approach will enhance their skills.
  • Clinical experience. Preference is given to candidates who have one or more years experience working in a clinical or research setting with individuals with developmental disabilities or related disorders.
The above qualifications are meant to be guidelines, not absolute cutoff points. Therefore, outstanding strength in one area may offset relative weakness in another area.
