Speech and Language Pathologist
We currently seek a Speech and Language Pathologist to develop augmentative and functional communication systems and implement communication-training programs. Speech services are delivered in a consultative model.
General responsibilities include student evaluations, consultation on IEP development, teacher training and development of communication programs.
Requirements/Duties include:- Full-time position
- A master's degree, CCC-SLP, or CF required. Experience with developmental disabilities, background in augmentative communication and applied behavior analysis preferred.
- Administer communication assessments to students as part of the clinical and educational re-evaluation process.
- Conduct communication skills screening during student intakes.
- Develop communication objectives to meet individualized student education plans.
- Participate in the development of departmental and school-wide teaching curriculum to meet speech acquisition goals.
- Supervise case managers through regular consultation and training.
- Provide in-service training to teachers and assist in team planning.
- Participate in NECC research program.
