Director of Health Services

Requirements

  •   Certified Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric or Family)
  •   Experience in pediatric primary care
  •   Experience with a special needs population and psychiatric nursing preferred
  •   Previous management/supervisory role
  •   Familiar with Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  •   Strong leadership and communication skills

Additional Responsibilities include

Under the clinical supervision of the school's primary care physician, and the administrative supervision of the Chief Operation Officer and Executive Director, the Director of Health Services is responsible for health care systems development, assessment and implementation for the students of The New England Center for Children.

  • Provision of primary care to residential students in daily clinic
  • Collaboration with primary care physician and other specialists, as well as the NECC behavioral team
  • Coordination of community based specialty medical services, ensuring continuity of care
  • Recruitment and supervision of nurses, nurse practitioners, and other health care support staff
  • Development and participation in health related trainings
  • Participation in beeper coverage rotation

Nurse Practitioner - Part Time

Requirements

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner who is Masters or Doctorate level prepared
  • Experience in pediatric primary care with a special needs population is preferred 
  • Previous experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Availability to commit to part-time schedule of 24-32 hours 

Additional Responsibilities include

  • Provides primary comprehensive health care to students
  • Provide clinical support to team of nurses
  • collaborate with physician consultants
  • Coordinate community based specialty medical services, ensuring continuity of care
